A Caithness Gunn Ancestory
In the 1841 Census of Ramscraigs in the Parish of Latheron, Caithness, appear the names of
Robert and Mary Gunn with two of their sons, William aged five and John aged two months.
John (the granddad Gunn mentioned in Jane's following notes) eventually emigrated to
New Zealand where he met and married Jane Burgess. They had three sons and two daughters.
One of the sons, John William married Margaret Florence Grace Hicks.
They, in turn, had four of a family - Jane Burgess, John Henry, Adelaide Amelia and
Doris Margaret.
